So I have been busy busy busy behind the scenes, lots of exciting work going on. 😊
Many of you will know me as someone who supports women to change their mindset around weightloss, and yes that was a big part of what I did (and still is) as that is what many women were asking me for help with.
Recently though I have had an influx of women coming to me for support around symptoms of menopause. Coincidentally (or maybe not, birds of a feather and all that) I have been working through these symptoms myself. 🤷♀️
My belief around needing to work on mind body and soul mean I have been using a combination of hypnosis, anxiety management skills, meditation and exercise and have been able to manage my symptoms well.💫
As an allied health professional I have joined the British Menopause Society so I have access to the medical journals and up to date information (I believe knowledge is power) and its just reinforced my belief that all areas must be worked on equally. 🤹
NICE guidelines recommend CBT as an option for treating menopausal symtoms (low mood and anxiety) as they recognise that stress and anxiety are a huge problem for many women. They recommend discussing lifestyle changes and interventions that could help general health and wellbeing. 🧘♀️
As a mental health professional, this encouraged me to use my skills to work even more on my relaxation, mindfulness and anxiety management.
I’m now feeling good and much more in control. And I finally have my work mojo back! 🙏🏻
So, this has been happening!
🌟 I am having a brand new website built which is exciting but has been a lot of work.
🌟 I will be able to offer more bespoke 1-1 and group coaching hours from December.
🌟 I will be opening up more slots for specific hypnosis interventions.
🌟 I have almost finished building my menopause membership site, just a few more hypnosis/relaxation recordings to go!
🌟 I have been collaborating with Shine for Life and will be offering equine therapy sessions, where we will explore the 8 ways of wellbeing.
🌟 And most exciting of all have been planning our Women’s Wellness day retreats which will be coming soon. There will be NLP (neurolingustic programming) to help retrain your brain, there will be Relaxation, Mindful nature walks, REIKI, Indian head massage and more importantly a safe space to just be. 💆🧘♀️ 🌿
One of the main things that has come out of this for me is the importance of not dwelling on the symptoms (as I always say, what we focus on expands) and not being filled with a feeling of dread or sadness about ageing.I can’t lie this took me a little while.
I now feel good about it, I feel empowered, I feel in control! 🤸
